On Sunday, Aug. 28 we were at this restaurant - very poor. Arrived at 11:40 got seated right away, server came almost immediately, we hadn't decided what we wanted but ordered beverages. Server came with beverages and we asked a question about the spicy chicken melt and said we wanted to order 2 of them,
server instead of taking our order said she would be back in a minute. Server
went away and didn't return for 10-15 minutes later and then informed us that
we now would have a wait of at least 20-30 minutes before we would get our order. We were on a schedule so we couldn't wait that long - we got up and left - very disappointed in the serve we received. The server we had was terrible - didn't take our order eventhough we gave her the information - she just said I will be back in a minute (10-15 minutes later - she was just walking around and serving other people who came in after us.) We will never go to the Denny's here again - left very disappointed.
Food cold, service slow, and dining room extremely dirty. Probably the most unclean restaurant that I have eaten in this century
As an ex-employee of Denny's Restaurant in Whitby I can tell you that, not only is their attitude towards customer satisfaction poor, but their commitment to their employee's is poor also. It is no surprise to hear that this Denny's location has closed it's doors permanently.
